There are 26 drawings for machine applique in this pattern, including a family of quail, a mule, lots of different cactus, a roader runner, two rattlesnakes, a badger, a pony, an armadillo, and a red fox among them. The quilt in the photograph measures 36 1/2" x 62". All of the drawings in this pattern (and all of our other patterns) are full size and they have all the details you need to make realistic looking appliques. The technique I used and that I describe in the instructions is fused applique using satin stitching. You could also use raw edge stitching on your appliques as shown on our videos.
The instructions include all the information you need to make a quilt wall hanging similar to mine. You have freedom to rearrange all the designs to make it your own because all the drawings are complete figures (even it they are hidden behind another figure).. If you have never made a quilt before, we have six free videos on our website which is on the pattern, or you can go to youtube.com/critterpat to watch right now.
