I am trying to figure out how to use my camera to capture how wonderful BFL is - sure, you can see the brown, and you can see the sari silk peeking out, but can you see how soft and fluffy this batt is? Can you see how fun this will be to spin, with BFL's nice staple length?
SPECS: Materials: Brown BFL, Sari Silk, Angelina Colors: Brown with pops of colorful Sari Silk and Angelina coming through Weight: approximately 3 ounces
When I make art batts, I let the fiber lead. I start with an idea of a basic color, or perhaps a color scheme, and then I just see where it goes. My batts are all textured – some more so than others – because I love to spin chunky yarn. You can tease out the texture if you want smoother yarn, but the possibility is there. This batt will let you create something unique and very special.
All of my batts are one of a kind!
To prevent felting and ensure long-lasting colors, gently wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
I do my best to accurately represent the fibers’ qualities and colors. As monitor settings may vary or my camera might have had an ‘off day,’ please do not hesitate to ask questions or request a different picture.
I work out of a smoke-free but pet-friendly home. My two fat cats wander around, but don’t get to play in the fiber (much to their frustration); my parents’ dog comes in to eat my cats’ food, but doesn’t even look at the fiber, and my little angora rabbit hops around, but not in the fibers. If you are highly allergic to pets, you should keep that in mind – but I don’t think it would be a problem as all fiber is stored in bags and bins and boxes.
I try to get as many of my supplies from family farms; there may still be small amounts of vegetable matter (VM) in some of the locks I use. These should spin or card out. All locks I use are very clean and come from happy animals!
I ship all orders with a small sachet of Organic lavender: keep with your fiber to help discourage moths, and my fiber comes in re-sealable, biodegradable bags. ☺
I mainly use First Class mail - although if you are more comfortable with priority mail, let me know in your message and I will adjust the shipping cost.
I try to get shipments out within 2 business days of receiving payment - if there is a delay beyond that for any reason I will contact you immediately.
Usually I get international orders shipped on Saturdays when I can get to the post office. Most shipments are USPS First Class - if there is a need to ship priority, I will contact you, as the shipping costs vary by region and would change.
I will refund excess shipping costs.
Rabbit Hole Fibers accepts credit cards and PayPal.
Once I have received your payment, I will package up your purchase.
Returns & exchanges
Your satisfaction is very important to me! If you are unhappy with a purchase, please contact me as soon as the package arrives - I don't accept returns based on color or texture; I try to be as accurate and clear as possible regarding the physical aspects and as monitor display colors differently, if you have ANY questions, send me a message and I will either add more pictures or get as creative as possible with my descriptions.
Returns must be made within 14 days of the purchase date. Once the product is returned in resalable condition, I will refund the purchase price.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
I dye my fiber using professional, Jacquard dyes. I take all precautions to make sure my fiber rinses clear before I list them for sale, but keep in mind that fiber and dye can act differently with different water sources. For best results, please wash your fiber/yarn carefully.
I live in and work out of a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. I do not let the cats play with the fiber, so I don't expect you'd find cat hair in your purchase. But if you are highly allergic, I thought I'd put it out there.
I do keep Organic Lavender around all my wools as a moth repellant. I often include lavender with your order. If you are allergic, let me know.
As I rarely work with Superwash wools, remember to wash all my fiber carefully, as too much agitation can felt the wool!
