If only growing my garden was as easy as growing a scarf, ah...wouldn't life be wonderful. But alas, for now I will have to stick to scarves. Lacy leafs, seeds and vines made up a nice display for any garden patch, only this garden doesn't require sunshine, watering and weeding. And most important, the deer won't eat up the best parts.
The stitches used in this project are pretty basic, the toughest being Purl 3 together, and then the Kitchener Stitch for joining the 2 ends. The main body is a 20 row repeat, all patterns are written and charted both for whichever works best for you. the finished blocked size for this scarf is 13.5" by 78".
Materials needed include 765 - 790 yds, of sport weight yarn, #5 needles, stitch markers and holders, tapestry needle, and don't forget the pattern!
As with most scarf patterns, substituting different yarns and needles do produce varied results and are always fun to see the outcome.
So enjoy your new project. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions, would love to hear from you.
