Exclusively from The Fashion Archaeologist ~
'Edwardian Rose' antique Pattern #1912-A-003, in digital (PDF) format, for a classic late-Edwardian lingerie blouse with tuck and lace appliqué embellishment, or optional antique embroidery design which you can create by hand from the included embroidery pattern.
This digital pattern is not a diagram or scaled-down sketch that you have to enlarge. Once you print it out and assemble the printed pages, you have a regular FULL-SIZE pattern that can be immediately cut out and sewn. It is exactly the same as my paper pattern, but in PDF format, offered at a lower price than the paper version, and of course with no shipping cost!
How does an instant digital download work? See: https://www.etsy.com/ca/help/article/3949 for details.
Please note that this listing is for the digital sewing pattern only, not the finished garment(s) shown in the photos. However, if you are interested in having this design custom-made for you, please contact me!
This listing is for the pattern in PDF format, which can be printed on a home inkjet or laser printer. Printing and assembly are straightforward, and full instructions are included, as well as step-by-step sewing instructions (in English), with links to construction help photos on our Web Gallery. A copy of our pattern envelope cover is also included.
The pictures above show the blouse as made from this pattern in fine batiste with lace appliqué, and as worn with our skirt pattern #1912-A-010 (see our shop for the skirt pattern). Also shown is a version made in a deep lavender linen/cotton blend.
SIZE: The pattern is drafted in two ladies' size ranges - Small to Medium, and Large. Zoom in on the photo of the pattern envelope to see measurement details.
Recommended Sewing Skill Level (2.5/5) - Advanced beginner. This is a relatively simple antique sewing project for anyone with intermediate or better sewing skills, and a wonderful introduction to antique sewing for those with solid beginner's skills.
Requirements: 112-152cm (44" to 60") wide cotton batiste or voile, handkerchief linen, or sheer weight linen/cotton blends:
2.2m (2-1/2 yds) for size Medium;
2.5m (2-3/4 yds) for size Large.
NOTE: Because of the unique cut-in-one design, this blouse cannot be cut from fabric narrower than 112cm (44") wide.
Make your historic outfit truly authentic with this lovely Titanic-era blouse!

Custom Order Policies:
On most custom garment orders a 50% deposit will be required to cover the cost of fabrics and trims to be purchased for the project, and for my initial time input. If you choose fabrics that I have on hand in my stock, only a 30% deposit will be required.
Please convo me or use the "Request Custom Order" feature to make a request. Once all details have been agreed, including final price, I'll provide you with the expected completion and delivery dates and will set up a Custom Order listing for the deposit.
I'll keep you informed of my progress on the project, and once completed, I'll create a second Custom Order listing for the remainder of payment, which will be posted on Etsy at a mutually agreed date and time. I can create a custom garment from practically any pattern design in my 'Edwardian Rose' antique pattern line, provided your measurements fall within the range shown on the pattern. I will consider custom-fitting an order outside those sizes, at additional cost.
Commissions for custom work are completed in the order in which they are received. Because I accept only a few commissions per year, 5 to 8 weeks is the usual completion time, depending upon complexity of the design.
