Item details

This listing is for 1 oz of luscious Prime, Black, English Angora fiber/wool from my own pet bunny "Tibbro". He is a grump who likes to keep to himself. I have sheared his fiber with scissors when harvesting. He dislikes sitting still to get groomed and sheared, but you can see in his picture, he's handsome when all spiffed up!

This is great for spinning and knitting/crocheting...makes super warm (and fuzzy!) homemade items for your loved ones!
Fiber is raw/natural. It has not been washed or processed. From a smoke free home.

About English Angoras:

This breed is distinctive because of it’s humorous appearance. With long fur that covers it's ears and face when in full coat, they often resemble small dogs or fur balls with faces (this breed is my favorite!). Their wool is silky, fine, warm and very soft. English Angoras come in a wide variety of beautiful colors. The coat is characterized by having little guard hair in proportion to its wool, and wraps rather tightly when spun, with relatively minimal fluffing (halo effect) compared to some of the other breeds. This is due to the limited guard hairs. Most are calm and docile, but should be handled carefully as they can be easily startled. Grooming is necessary to prevent the fiber from matting and felting and for the rabbits' health. These rabbits are shorn every three to four months throughout the year when they naturally “blow” their coats, similar to how a dog sheds. Rabbits are not harmed during this process.

This can either be processed/spun by itself or added to wool and other fibers to make it go further. A little goes a long way. Angora is 7-9 times warmer than wool!!

Fiber is raw/natural. It has not been washed or processed. From a smoke free home.

I am willing to ship to other countries. Please convo me for shipping prices.
Also note, some countries may prohibit import/export of some fibers. If asking to ship to another country, please verify unprocessed/raw Angora is not a prohibited/restricted item. I can not be held responsible if customs confiscates your package.

If you’d like a crown or other item listed to ship internationally, please message me as I will need to get the cost according to the country. Please send me a message and I can then add the shipping cost for you.

I ship to residents of the United States, Canada and other countries. Shipping costs are based on packaging prices and shipping weights. To request shipping insurance, simply leave a message in the "Notes to Seller" area and I will then send you an invoice for the additional expense. I am sorry I cannot replace or refund any uninsured orders.

If paying with PayPal, make sure that the address being given is correct and up to date, as due to shipping liabilities, I will only ship to the verified address given through PayPal/Esty as both print shipping labels now. When shipping gifts to others, please make sure that you give me the correct address to ship to through PayPal/Etsy as well.

It can take aprox 6-14 days for shipments to reach the UK, France and Australia. Sometimes packages can take up to 4 weeks if they get stuck somewhere, ( i.e. customs). Talk to your postal clerk, they can connect you with your country's customs if needed.

**Customs: International customers, duty/import taxes are the responsibility of the customer. I won't mark the customs form gift. Sorry, it's illegal.

**Please be patient with international mail, sometimes it just takes a bit longer than we'd like.

I will ship packages as soon as possible after purchase and payment. Shipping is by 1st class mail, under 13 oz as this is the most economical. If you would like to upgrade the shipping on your package, please contact me prior to processing the order. We can certainly work something satisfying out. I usually ship faster than 3-5 days, however, I like to keep the buffer there, just in case!!

For Fiber: If you request shipping outside of the United States it is the BUYERS responsibility to check import/export restrictions as some countries do not permit angora or other fibers to be imported. I am not responsible if customs confiscates your purchase. There is a website here http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/ab_toc.htm where you can check for restrictions by country.

I place each item in appropriate packaging and pack it carefully, so you will receive it in perfect condition. I do like to reuse boxes / materials when possible--Go Green--Re-use!! If this is problematic for you, say, the item is a gift, please let me know!

I accept PayPal. Please pay within 24 hours from initial checkout.

Reserved/custom items are listed for 5 days only. After that the reserved status will be removed and they will go into the general shop listings. Please pay in a timely fashion. I will send a convo when your order is listed, thanks!

Items not paid within 5 days of checkout, with no communication from buyer, will be considered abandoned. I will cancel the sale & relist the item. I'm really nice, & understanding. A simple conversation is all I ask for. Thanks!!
