This furoshiki is based on classic woodblock prints by the artist Hiroshige. Twelve works from his famed 'The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' series of prints are reproduced on one piece of fabric.
Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths.
This one's about 50cm x 50cm(19.69" x 19.69") and is a high quality 100% cotton.
It has a deep green base. I also have this motif with a red base listed separately here:
The rich colors and texture and size have made these smaller furoshiki quite popular for home decor and in sewing projects! They can also be used as a furoshiki to wrap small objects-please take care to measure first, allowing ample room for tying.
And good news for folks in the U.S.!
