Quality paper makes quality prints. All designs print nicer and much truer to color when you use the right paper. The same printer will print differently (color-wise and quality-wise) depending on the paper. Photo papers produce great results.

Not all printers print the same. Not all monitors display the same.
We have test printed our images on three different brand printers and no two look exactly alike. If your printer is printing the image too dark or too light, you can either adjust the printer settings or adjust the lightness or darkness of the image in a program capable of performing this function.
Please understand that the type of paper used will produce different results from the very same printer. Cheap, flat matte cardstock does not look nearly as sharp or true-to-color as coated photo paper.
The ink on matte cardstock bleeds into the fibers of the paper making images look muddy and fuzzy compared to photo paper where the images are lighter, brighter and sharper, because photo paper has a coating that prevents the ink from bleeding into the paper.
Glossy photo papers produce the best results. We recommend HP Everyday Glossy Photo Paper (Q8723A) for many of our party printables. We also like Staples Photo Supreme Matte photo paper (#19895).
The 'brightness rating' of a paper also makes a big difference in the results.
