This pattern is currently offered in a size "SMALL" (about a dress size 4) and is only for the bodysuit and waistband belt. I now can offer a method to grade the pattern to a "MEDIUM" (about a dress size 8) which uses the small pattern as a base and requires some additional steps. ** More detail below.
This is an intermediate sewing project with the most difficulty being sharp corners, the zipper, and the collar. Written instructions are included with vector drawn construction detail images.
What you will receive:
-18 SMALL pattern pieces printed on white 24x36" paper, folded into a large manilla envelope. - Sewing instructions printed on letter sized copy paper. *** International buyers will receive a PDF digital file to save on postage rates.
Shoes/shoe covers, gloves, utility belt, guns, SHIELD patches, holsters, wig etc... are modeled in picture but not included and should be purchased separately, elsewhere. A paper template for the hourglass Black Widow buckle and utility pouches is available on request free of charge if you leave a comment during check out.
Knit- Small is designed for a 34/26/36 figure approximately 5'4-5'6" tall, but can fit someone who is slightly larger or smaller since the pattern is intended for a cut small with the anticipation it will be able to stretch for a figure-hugging look.
Chest: 33 1/4" Waist: 23 3/4" Hip: 33 5/8" Thigh: 20 1/2" Knee: 14 7/8" Leg Opening : 12.5" Crotch Depth: about 23 1/2" Inseam: about 26" Sleeve Length: 21" Center back neck to waist length: 16 3/8"
Recommended fabric is a four-way stretch heavy weight knit. A 25% stretch ratio is ideal. (Every four inches of fabric yields one extra inch of stretch.)
Knit- Medium uses the small pattern but requires you to move the corners out at certain points on the pattern by specific directions such as "Out 1/2", Down 1". A visual aid is given in the form of three extra sheets with these adjustments outlined in red. On some pieces you will be required to cut the pattern on a dotted line and spread it a certain width. I recommend taping it to a piece of wrapping paper. On some pieces, after the adjustments are made, they over lap another piece on the pattern. You may have to trace these onto another sheet of paper. You will also have to draw in new seam allowances for the adjustments. This is easily done with a clear grid- quilting ruler but can be done with a regular ruler.
The MEDIUM is designed for a 36.5/29/39 figure about 5'6-5'9" tall. ( Close to a dress size 8).
Chest: 36 5/8" - 44" Waist 26" - 32" Hip 39"- 48"
Finished measurements are approximately:
Chest: 36 5/8" Waist: 26" Hip: 39" Thigh: 22 1/4" Knee: 14 7/8" Leg Opening : 12.5" Crotch Depth: about 25 1/2" Inseam: about 27" Sleeve Length: 22" Center back neck to waist length: 17 3/8"
Patterns ship via USPS first-class mail.
***International shipping available to other countries. Just PM me so I can look up the postage rates. To save on postage for international orders, sewing instructions will be sent as a PDF file to reduce package weight, bringing costs closer to $5-6. If you would like these pages printed, shipping runs around $11-12. [ Eighteen (18) 8 1/2 x 11 pages, mostly black and white with minor color.]
Also, PM me for Priority Mail shipping rates in advance.
If you read through the sewing instructions and find that the pattern is too advanced for your skill level, I will consider returns on a case-by-case basis provided there is not a way to resolve any construction issues with clarification or additional pictures. (No wrinkles, folds, stains, smoke-odors.) Pattern pieces must be uncut and in their original condition. Sewing instruction printouts must be returned as well. You will be responsible for return postage and your original postage will not be refunded.
Please resolve any questions or concerns before buying.
Understandable instructions and the suit came out great! A little short in the sleeves and the legs for me, standing at around 164 cm tall, but if you make the shin panels and back panels a little longer in the leg and the arms just the tiniest bit longer, you're all good to go. It came about a week and a half after I'd ordered it. Great doing business with!

Started using the pattern already, love it. Feedback to it would only be the front page for pattern cut layout makes you think you aren't folding the fabric in half, (it's a mirror image) made me second guess myself. BUT I got it right and it's all good. I am using this to make Iron Man 2 Widow and it's pretty close to that. Only some stuff with the front is noticeably different from that suit. This is also a great pattern for fellow Widows out there who want a universal pattern to make other versions like Civil War. It can easily be altered to be more like that. The photo examples are great an really helpful as well.

This pattern is amazing. The time and thought that had to go into it really impresses me. Grading it from a small to a medium took some time, but it worked great. Definitely not for beginners, but the combo of the illustrations and the written instructions make it easy to follow. My jumpsuit is coming along great.
