Ah, the Swamp Rose Mallow is one of the most delicate flowers in my yard. They are white with a light pink hue and a fuchsia middle. As the name implies, the swamp rose mallow loves water. Picture 5 shows my baby growing next to our gutter drain, in clay soil. It was only dry, here in Wisconsin, for a couple of weeks, so about 2-3 minutes with the water hose was used. The mallow is a "cure all" in the plant world. Used in shampoos for dry brittle hair, put into baby bottles for cough, peel the root for teething children. Used to heal oozing eczema, lung ailments, urinary ailments, constipation, treat fevers, reduce blood pressure, & the seeds can be chewed to sweeten the breath and it is said to act as an aphrodisiac. The petal can also be added to potpourri. Care instructions will be added into your package. Happy Gardening!!
