Item details

Taken from a 1912 edition of the antique children's encyclopedia series "Book of Knowledge", these gorgeous pages illustrate the following:

"Up the Hill From Plymouth Rock"
"Landmarks of Early Days"
"Sir Richard Owen and the Skeleton of a Bird"
and a beautiful black and white classic illustration.

You will receive the exact pages shown.

Each page measures 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches and is in very good condition. They are also each double sided, with additional information, illustrations, and photographs. You will receive 4 sheets/ 8 pages.

This is an awesome series of books-- the text font and illustrations are not like anything we find now. These are original pages, not copies. Check out other ephemera collections from this series here in my shop. These are perfect for framing, especially for nature buffs!

All shipping costs include all shipping materials (a box if necessary, bubble wrap, padding, etc.)

If you place your order on a weekday, I will mail it that day. If you order on a weekend, I will ship it Monday morning. I don't "sit on" your order for a long time... I send it out right away.

Generally, if the item is not particularly fragile and will withstand normal typical postal handling, it will be sent first class to try and save you a little postage. If you prefer ups or usps priority shipping, no problem-- let me know and I'll determine the new shipping price quote. I often use recycled packaging materials, so let me know if this is a problem. I live in a pet free/ smoke free household, so allergens/scents are not an issue. Don't hold me responsible if one of my kids somehow ends up in your package though. (just kidding; I think). It happens.

Payments

I happily accept paypal. I've recently added personal checks and postal money orders as payment options. Please be aware that additional time will be required if you are paying by check or postal money order. If you're willing to chance it, I will also take well concealed cash. Items will be shipped out within 24 hours of receipt of payment. And because I mail your package the day you order it (see details below), I appreciate the same manner of promptness with your payment. So far, all of my buyers have been perfect!!! (But you knew that already, I know....LOL)

Returns & exchanges

If for any reason you are unhappy or dissatisfied with ANY part of your business with me, by all means, LET ME KNOW!!! Legend has it I'm a fairly openminded and peaceful person. I'll do whatever I can to make it right.

Additional policies

I'm always open to suggestions, too. I am MORE than happy to do custom work for you-- don't hesitate to ask! I have lots of positive feedback on custom orders for many buyers here on etsy. If there's something you're itching to have, perhaps I can scratch that itch. Lets talk.

Also, I will ship anywhere in the world, provided there isn't a customs restriction on the item. (Sometimes I work with plant material and/or seeds, and some countries-- Australia for example-- are pretty strict about letting those things in).

Additionally, please let me know if the item you've purchased is a gift for someone! I'd be more than happy to wrap it "instantly giftable". If you include a notation in the 'note to seller', I can ship it directly to the recipient.
