These Cartonnage tools are very helpful for Cartonnage, Bookbinding and some scrapbook projects! With them you can have good and neat finishing for your projects. They are very functional, quick and easy to use!
The tools comprises one corner miter tool that helps you to cut the fabric at the corners on Cartonnage, bookbinding and scrapbook projects, 2 acrylic spacer rulers (6 mm and 15 mm) that helps you to have correct spacing between cardboard pieces when you are making some projects, like boxes, books and covers and the plastic spatula that help us to fold the fabric and smooth it on the paper. The corner miter tool is made of stainless steel and the spacers are made of acrylic.
The DIY Kit to make a tool case come with all cardboard you need to make one great tool case to keep the tools organized and safe! See the pictures to check how it is like when done! For making the tool case you will need some fabric and elastic bands, white glue, rotary cutter or scissor, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush and masking tape. Making the tool case is a good way to try cartonnage! Be aware that this is a "tool case" and not the "tool box" I have another kit available in my store.
The instruction to make the "tool case" is included in the kit. You can also see a video showing how to make this tool case in this FREE online course: http://learncartonnage.colorwayarts.com/courses/joycartonnagefree
It was dispatched the same day as I ordered it, but unfortunately got caught up in Customs at Chicago Airport. Be aware if you order from the U.K. there will be a customs fee to pay. It was well packed and the thick card in the kit protected the plastic spacers. Despite the problems I have given the kit 5 stars. The corner mitre tool is most ingenious. Perfect for Cartonnage, which I have tried and enjoyed. I also make mini albums from card and paper and precision is required in both crafts. A slip of the scissors can ruin the appearance of a box or album - trimming the fabric or paper on a corner is very tricky to get right. I could have bought the mitre tool on its own but I chose to buy the kit because I wanted the 6mm spacer (you get a 15 mm spacer as well). Look on You Tube to see the demo video and you’ll be impressed.

These tools are super for doing cartonnage. Yes, you can do 'work arounds' with other items. But these make the project so much easier to do and do well!
