Autumn is the season of warm, cosy colours and fun celebrations. Bring that season into your home quickly and easily with this collection of autumnal Halloween and Thanksgiving mug rug patterns.
Within the pages of this book you will find ten mug rug designs themed around Halloween and Thanksgiving. (There are actually twelve designs as the Ghostly Duo and the Moonlit Cat come with an alternative design each. There is also a Primitive Pumpkin coaster – perfect for that glass of Halloween punch!)
Each design can be created using little more than scraps of fabric enabling you to play with colour and pattern whilst creating something functional and decorative for your home. Perfect for those times when you need a break from a larger quilting project or when you need a last-minute ‘thank you’ gift for a friend, relative, teacher or colleague.
All the mug rugs are large enough to hold a cup and a slice-of-pumpkin-pie but they don’t have to be purely functional, they can double up as a piece of fabric art to display on the wall in the hall or above your work desk. The designs include:
A Quilt-as-You-Go mug rug (suitable for all-year-round fun)
Coffee and Pie
NOTE: The ‘‘Ghostly Duo’ design is available from my Etsy shop as part of the Halloween pattern pack. However, even if you have already purchased this pattern you will still be getting excellent value for money with another nine new designs included in this book.
The booklet includes help and advice on fabric choices, quick-fuse applique and binding methods. Each pattern uses quick fuse applique and/or simple patchwork and each design is presented as a stand-alone pattern, enabling you to print just the pattern you are working on, saving you ink and paper. The easy-to-follow instructions, colour diagrams and full size appliqué sheets will guide you as you make these functional mini quilts.
So cosy up and join with the Patchsmith to patch a life of fabric, fun and friends.
The patterns in this book are for personal use only but permission is also granted to make items from this book to sell so long as the item is handmade by you and you credit the Patchsmith for the design. No mass production allowed.
