Sea/Beach Glass from an Old Virginia river beach on the Potomac. Green, Blue, Teal, Aqua, Frosty White, Brown, Pink, etc.
Long ago this backwoods river shore was where barges out of Washington D.C. would unload refuse. The broken glass, ceramic, porcelain housewares, and the occasional doll part are all that remains of these items originating in the 19thC US Capitol . Stirred by the river current and tides, this group and another lot (entirely of porcelain and etc.) which I am listing presently, are nicely aged and contain some unusual markings and interesting effects of time, water, and fire. Pieces include conspicuous candidates for jewelry projects, assemblage, &c.
