This is a PDF Pattern & Tutorial to create your very own Boo Monster Costume. You can download the pattern and print it at home instantly, upon purchase.
**Sizes include 12-18 months, 2T, 3T, & 4T ONLY!** You may modify the pattern to fit your sizing needs, however there are no guidelines for other sizes at this time.
After receiving countless requests to recreate this costume the past couple years and being unable to fulfill the requests, I created a pattern and tutorial to allow others to create the costume themselves. This pattern & tutorial includes pattern pieces to make sizes 12-18 months, 2T, 3T, and 4T. Pieces may (and should) be modified to fit the child as needed. You may alter your pieces to achieve a smaller, larger, longer, shorter, wider or slimmer fit, by making your own adjustments as you see fit. Always measure your child and decide what size is best for them prior to starting. I include suggestions for additional options, information on where to find the supplies you need and step by step instructions for making the costume.
Instructions are based on use of sewing machine and/or serger for this project. Some hand sewing is used to attach eyes and hair to head. Steps are thoroughly explained and should be easy to follow. Buyer may contact me if they have any questions along the way. I will do my best to help.
The Boo Monster Costume Pattern and Tutorial includes: -9 pages of instruction with illustrations. -13 pattern pages with 4 sizing options; 12-18mo., 2T, 3T, 4T.
Pattern pages print out onto regular 8.5" x 11" paper and include guides for attaching them together. Make sure they print at 100%, as some printers will try to scale the pages to fit standard margins. Check that 1 inch scale on patterns measures correctly.
This costume turned out great. We made it for a 7 month old cutting slightly smaller than the 12-18 month and just put velcro down the back of the costume so it would go on like a backwards coat. It was adorable! The seller was helpful and pattern was as described. Thanks!

I am not very crafty and am definitely not a sewer. My mom helped me out (she's not much of a sewer either, but at least can operate a sewing machine) and the costume turned out great. Thank you for such a great product!! We used velcro to open up the back. We also velcro'd the hood and chin piece on, instead of sewing them, which has seemed to work out great. We are going to use a bit more velcro to tighten it up for next time. If I were to make it again, I'd make the front a little longer than the back because it became a little shorter when we stuffed it (also might be user error). We love it!!!

The pattern was great and easy to follow. The only thing I would suggest is adding either a zipper or snaps or some way to get your child into the costume. It is mentioned in the instruction that you can add a zipper, but it is not part of the pattern. With the non-stretch fabric it is really hard to get the costume on without a zipper. My daughter freaked out trying to get her head and arms in. I made the 3T sizing for my 2 1/2 yars old and it fit great but, I ended up cutting the back open to install a zipper after the fact.

The instructions were easy to follow and super easy to execute. I added a zipper to the side but otherwise followed it to the letter. Goes pattern!
