Additional policies

Installing a decal is not a science, But does take some knowledge. Please read the following to install a decal.

Step 1- Verify that the area you are looking to add your decal to is suitable for a decal, Ensure the surface is smooth and free of any texture. Glossy areas are typically the best substrate to apply decals too. Decals will not adhere to some plastics.

Step 2- Clean the substrate. Make sure the area you would like to install the decal on is free of any oils, waxes, dust and dirt. One of the best ways to clean an area is with Isopropyl alcohol. wipe clean and let area dry. If an area is heavily soiled a second cleaning with alcohol is recommended

Step 3- Install the decal. fully peel the decal off the backing (white paper) and hold it on the tips of the masking/transfer tape. Try not to touch the back of the decal itself since it could leave dirt on your decals back side. You should have each hand holding the furthest corners from each other and keep it tight so that the decal does not fold in on itself. Place one end of the decal down and then smooth it out to the other end till the decal is fully placed.

Step 4- Smoothing and removing bubbles- Once the decal is placed on the substrate , use a credit card or hard squeegee to remove any bubble and ensure the decal is fully contacting the substrate.

Step 5- Removing the transfer tape- This is the finishing and last step to apply a decal. There is a clear/semi clear tape over top of the entire decal. This is a material used to only apply the decal and SHOULD NOT be left on. Pull up the edge of the transfer tape and slowly remove pulling the transfer tape back onto its self. Is the decal is coming back off with the transfer tape STOP! push the transfer tape back down into place and re-squeegee the area, depending on the conditions or substrate heat may need to be applied. A hair dryer will work perfect for this. Apply heat and begin to slowly remove the transfer tape off of the decal. Once the transfer tape has been removed your installation is complete.
