This is a knitting pattern -- it is the pattern only, not a finished item.
"One of these mornings "You're gonna rise up singing "So hush little baby, don't you cry"
Wrap yourself in this cushy, feminine bit of fluff and take a walk through the garden during the cool hours of early morning, coffee cup in hand. Think of yourself as being out on a dreamy picnic during the cool months, wind gently blowing, causing your petticoats to billow ... just enough.
The title of this rectangular lace shawl knitting pattern is "Take to the Sky". The shawl is knit flat using approximately 1200 to 1250 yards (4 oz) of lace weight yarn on size U.S. 3 needles.
The pattern stitch for this wrap looks complicated but is actually very easy to memorize as you go. I have prepared both written and charted directions, plus I have explained in this pattern how to follow a charted pattern to make it easy for someone who would like to try to do so.
The pattern is written up and charted very clearly, as my patterns always are. I want people who would like to try a more challenging technique (i.e. lace knitting and/or following a chart) to be able to easily comprehend and follow my instructions so they may advance their skills and confidence as knitter.
