Sometimes it (that pair of jeans or pants) fades, looks tired or just needs "refreshing". Sometimes it isn't deep enough in value - whatever that "need" is, it's a "reboot" or an over dye.
Just send your garment and I'll be happy to give your jeans or shirt that "pick-me-up."
Your garment should be 100% natural fibers: cotton, linen or rayon. Synthetics do not respond well to the dye. Having said this, sometimes even though an item is labeled as 100% doesn't always make it so, so it may not absorb the dye as well. Weave, weight and thickness of the fabric also play a part.
Typically, indigo does best (it seems) in warmer weather, so spring, summer and fall are the best times for a project like this. With temperatures being so variable, sometimes beginning in April and ending in late October...although sometimes there is a warm spell in November. I work with nature, so that I also consider not only the dyeing but the drying aspects. Items dry more quickly when it's sunny and warm.
After several dips in the dye vat your garment will be rinsed by hand to remove excess dye and additives. After drying, your garment will be returned to you.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask.
I came across this listing and requested a custom indigo overdye of some pale blue chinos I had... I was hoping for a hybrid between chinos/khakis and jeans. What I received was nothing short of amazing.
Customer service and communication with the seller was amazing. The price and service rendered is beyond fair and the return shipping was very fast and nicely packaged.
But most importantly the final product looks exactly how I imagined a custom, hand-dyed pair of pants would look, with slight color variations near seams and contrasting stitching and buttons where the dye didn't penetrate as well, lending a very rugged workwear and denim-like look. The blue color itself is amazing. I can't wait to hopefully get that indigo "fade" like jeans, and get more character with wear! HAPPY CUSTOMER.
When shipping, I usually use USPS and do my utmost to mail out the first work day after the order has been submitted. Priority mailing is also my preference. I insure and receive shipping confirmation. Once items have been shipped I contact the buyer so that he/she will know when delivery is anticipated. If there are any questions at all about mailing or have specific requests, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Payment is by terms specified with each item. Etsy also offers its own options. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Returns & exchanges
If the item purchased is lost in transit (heaven help us!), of course, you will receive a refund. If for any reason, an item is not satisfactory, arrives damaged, is not the correct size to suit...or a different aspect...please don't hesitate to contact me.
