This purchase is a PDF pattern to create a sweater, headband, or hat like the ones pictured.
This sweater with a beautiful four-stranded braid in the front, is knit from the neck down with increases at the raglan seams. There is minimal finishing to be done, as the sweater is joined at the underarms and knit to the hipband, and has a self-band at the back edges.
Instructions are given to finish the pattern with short or long sleeves, or to create a matching cabled headband or cable-edged hat.
* Lightweight fingering yarn--I used "Palette", available from www.knitpicks.com.
* Knitting Needles sized 000 and 0 (1.5 & 2 mm). For knitting for dolls, I prefer using 16" circular needles, and love the Addi Turbo brand.
* 4 place markers
* 5-6 sets 4/0 snaps & matching thread for finishing
* With size 0 needles, 20 stitches & 26-27 rows in a 2 x 2 inch (5.1 cm) square.
