Shipping & policies
Shipping occurs WHEN ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE AND READY via USPS 2-3 day priority mail. ORDERS FOR LARGE AMOUNTS COULD TAKE 4-6 WEEKS, PLEASE ORDER EARLY. Once the plant is ordered, we want to make sure that the roots are bare when shipped and dry dirt falls off much easier than wet dirt. Please open your package and unwrap as soon as they arrive. Succulent plants can lose their color and as with all living plants, they really prefer to get out of their boxes and into a good soil mixture. Any of the listings that state plants are shipped bare root means that they are out of the pot and have very little soil. While they can travel that way its best to get them replanted as soon as they get to their new home.

General plant care
These lovely plants are moderately fast growers. They like good, bright light up to full sunlight. If your plant begins to show more and more space between the leaves, it is stretching and needs more light to help it keep a compact rosette shape. Keep soil relatively moist, letting them dry out somewhat between waterings. Diluted fertilizer is appreciated every second or third watering. Echeverias range in size from small, hard-leafed varieties (sometimes more than an inch or two across) to large, colorful and wavy-leafed varieties that grow to as much as two feet across. There are hundreds of varieties, some are species collected from the wild; and many are man-made hybrids. These plants are fantastic because of the range of colors in the leaves. For example, there is 'Blue Curls' with its bluish-red wavy leaves,'Black Prince' with its midnight black leaves and 'Pink Frills' with its rosy pink coloring. Not to be forgotten is Echeveria 'Culebra' with its thick caruncles (sometimes called carbuncles) on the leaf surface. According to Wikipedia: Echeveria is a large genus of succulents in the Crassulaceae family, native from Mexico to northwestern South America. The genus is named after the 18th century Mexican botanical artist, Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy. Many of the species produce numerous offsets, and are commonly known as 'Hen and chicks', which can also refer to other genera such as Sempervivum that are significantly different from Echeveria. They are drought resistant but do better with regular deep watering and fertilizing. Most tolerate shade and some frost, although hybrid species tend to be less tolerant. They can be propagated by separating offsets, but may also be propagated by leaf cuttings, and by seed if they are not hybrids. Echeverias are polycarpic: they may flower and set seed many times over the course of their lifetimes. Removing lower leaves keeps plants cleaner and healthier.
Plants can be out of soil and water for extended periods.
Just put your plants back in the soil / water and they will immediately perk up.
Remember, take them out of their packaging as soon as they arrive and get them replanted. To remove the dirt that has shifted during transport, gently brush or blow on them. There will be some dirt on the roots, check for moisture, if the dirt feels moist wait to water. Place where they will get good filtered sun. As always, if you have questions, send me note.
Please follow basic care instructions for your new plants. Remember they are babies.

Additionally, it is a good rule of thumb to use good hand washing after handling plants. Some have sap type fluid that can irritate the mucus membranes. So, don't touch your face, eyes or mouth. Also, be mindful of small children and your pets.
