Jason Younis y Delgado is a fifth generation tinsmith in the Delgado Family tradition of Spanish Colonial artists.
In Volume 2 of this series, Jason provides the viewer an opportunity to test their newly acquired skills by completing three tinwork projects: a collectible Christmas ornament, a small, traditional mirror and an elegant candleholder.
All of the material is presented in a clear and easy-to-follow format. Multiple camera angles, including an "over-the-workspace" view provide a close-up look at his handiwork.
Using the teaching skills, patience, precision, clarity and workflow he's developed in hundreds of hours of live tinwork training sessions all across New Mexico, Jason enables the interested student to become a proficient apprentice of tinwork.

These DVDs are great tutorials. The artist demonstrates the use of basic tools in the first one, We get a glimpse into the interesting history of New Mexican tinwork as well. In the second DVD he shows how to build three beautiful projects step by step. I also appreciated the understated use of the Spanish inspired music here and there. It set up a lovely ambience without getting in the way. After watching these videos, I felt very inspired to try out the art and craft of tinwork!
