FAQs

There are four types of finishes available. In order to get the black on the pieces - called a patina - I use a chemical called Liver of Sulfur. Shiny finish with patina: this gives the prints a blackened look, only the numbers and letters are black, not the whole piece. Shiny with no patina: this gives the piece an understated look, there is no black on the piece at all. Matte finish with patina: this gives the piece a more contemporary look, while still looking understated and the patina makes the prints stand out. Matte finish with no patina: a very simple but contemporary, understated look.

All of my handprint pieces are made from fine silver and all findings (ie, cufflink mechanisms, bracelets, necklace chains etc.) are made from sterling silver. The difference between fine silver and sterling silver is that fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Sterling is 92.5% silver with the remaining 7.5% composed of other metals, usually copper. They look the same, wear and polish the same, but fine silver is more "pure" and is, therefore, more costly and often considered more desirable than sterling. Fine silver also uses recycled silver, so it is eco-friendly too!

I mail the handprint kit, first class within 2 days of purchase and takes 2-5 days to arrive (within the US) and up to 10 days overseas. Once I receive the prints from you, the process takes 5-14 days depending on how busy I am. Please scan and email me the prints if you can to speed up the process. Shipping takes 2-5 days within the US and 10-16 working days overseas (it takes this amount of time because I mail all my pieces overseas with registered post so that I have the tracking details).

I ship only after payment is received in full.
Each item is made to order, for handprint jewelry, please allow 1-2 weeks after I receive the prints you'd like to use. For all other pieces of jewelry, please expect 1-2 weeks for me to make your order.

Please note that I cannot be responsible for any customs, duty or taxes that may be incurred on orders sent internationally.

Occasionally packages may get stuck in customs which may cause a delay in your order arriving to you.

Occasionally packages may get delayed through no fault of my own, simply due to USPS.


Payments

Payment is through PayPal or credit card and is preferred at the time of your selection; after 5 days I reserve the right to cancel an unpaid sale. However, you are always more than welcome to purchase again!

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me for an exchange or return within 10 days of purchase. I accept returns of items in original condition. I am diligent to accurately describe and photograph merchandise so return shipping charges or Paypal fees are nonrefundable.

I cannot offer refunds on custom pieces, personalized items or handprint jewelry. However I like to see my customers 100% happy, so please do get in touch with me if you have any concerns about your purchase.
