Item details

This is a listing for one (1) premium deer antler tip. You will receive the lot shown in the photos. The tip is a soft light brown/buff in color and very slightly curved. The photos shown holding the tip is to help convey size and form as well as possible potential for crafts like tool handles. wands, etc.
My tips have been cut from naturally shed antlers and are in excellent condition with little to no natural weathering or wear. Any scuffs or scratches on the tips are natural.

Antler tips are excellent crafting material for carving, painting, buttons, bolo ties, knife handles, western decor, door pulls, hair sticks, jewelry, and even dog treats! ***When ordering any antler piece for dog chews, please be sure that the pieces are appropriately sized for your dog! These antlers are natural and have not been treated with any chemicals.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
- It is assumed that you have read through my shop Policies before you purchase. If you have not, please do so now. These policies outline many things, including your responsibility to purchase items you can legally import and obtain.
- Most of my wildlife specimens are acquired as a salvaged by-product of the hunting and trapping trades, where bones and various other parts are often discarded. I am breathing beauty and functionality back into this 'waste' and creating an opportunity for folks to utilize, study, and honor these natural pieces.
- Any bones listed as "nature-cleaned" were originally found in nature and cleaned further by hand.
- Some of my wildlife specimens are derived from personal hunting for food. Any animal taken, on the farm or in the wild, is consumed and utilized to the fullest extent of our abilities. Nothing is wasted, with even the scraps composting to nourish plants and garden soils.
- My farm specimens come from livestock raised and bred right here on the mountain. As stewards and caretakers of animals, we strive to offer every animal an enriched and fulfilled life as close to "wild" as possible, feed natural holistic diets, and avoid chemicals, medications, and toxins on all fronts whenever possible.

BONE INFO:
- My bones are cleaned, degreased, sterilized, and whitened skillfully and mindfully by Yours Truly, using non-toxic, eco-friendly, and natural methods.
- I absolutely do NOT bleach or boil any of my bones!
- Wolf, cougar, bear, and lynx bones available on my website: www.desertrosetaxidermy.com/forsale

SHIPMENT:
- All orders are shipped USPS First Class Mail with Tracking, unless a shipping upgrade is selected at checkout. Charges are calculated based on combined item/packaging weight.
- I have a 1 - 3 business day processing time. Please take this into consideration if you need your order a certain date!
- I strive to ship orders within 24 hours- however, between the back country and mountain road conditions, at times it may take several days to get orders to the post office.
- Once shipped, domestic packages typically arrive within 2 - 5 business days.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
- Each international WILDLIFE shipment requires a legal export fee of $100 or more. There is no item limit, weight limit, or box limit to a shipment, however there are some species restrictions. Contact me with interest or questions.
- DOMESTICATED species do not have U.S. export restrictions, have no additional fees or wait time, and can be shipped without hassle. Please check with your local customs on import regulations and restrictions regarding livestock specimens.

PAYMENT:
- Let me know if you need to arrange alternative payment. Your order will not be shipped until payment is received.
- I can reserve listings for up to 7 days. Contact me if you'd like something reserved!

FAQs

Here’s the scoop: Wildlife has international trade regulations. I am required to pay extra shipping and an inspection fee, which is typically $100, collected from me by the USFWS. You can upgrade to international shipping on any listing containing wildlife to view your total legal export fees. The good-ish news: You can order as many wildlife items as you want in one shipment, it does not change the inspection fee! The better news: Items from domesticated species have no USA export regulations. I can ship worldwide with no additional export fees. Remember: Always check your local customs and regulations before importing any animal specimens!

I do not trap. I do hunt, but not for business. Wildlife is only ever taken for food or farm security. Very few of my wildlife specimens will have come from personal hunting. The vast majority of my wildlife items are salvaged “waste” from the hunting and trapping trades, where it is commonplace for most of the animal to be discarded. This unique form of “recycling” offers folks a chance to use and honor pieces that would otherwise have been thrown away!

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
All wildlife exports, by law, must be sent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for inspection before leaving the U.S. They charge $100 per package to inspect. I've factored this fee into the shipping charges. This is why shipping charges on wildlife specimens appear high.

HOW IT WORKS:
When you order, your first item's shipping charge is calculated as $100+cost of shipping. Additional items only add a small combined shipping rate. Your order is sent to a designated facility in Seattle, Washington for inspection. It is then shipped out of the country to you. You will likely receive your order in 2 - 4 weeks.

EXCEPTIONS:
- CITES appendices species have higher fees ($300 per order) and a wait time for shipment. These species include wolf, cougar, bear, otter, bobcat, lynx, and a few others.
- Domesticated species have NO regulation or inspection requirements and can be shipped directly to you without hassle. These species include horse, cow, pig, goat, domestic rabbit, domestic feline and canine, and many others. Please note that some countries may restrict the import of domesticated specimens, always check your local laws before ordering!

Payments

ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT: Contact me if you need to arrange alternative payment. Concealed cash, personal/business checks, and money orders welcome. Orders left unpaid for without communication will be cancelled. CONCEALED CASH sent at your own risk! Checks received will have a 5 business day wait period for payment to clear. Any fees incurred by returned checks will be passed to the customer/client.

CUSTOMERS WITHOUT PAYPAL: Contact me if you cannot pay directly through Etsy or Paypal and would like to make a purchase with a credit or debit card. I can send a Paypal invoice to your email that can be paid directly with a card. You do not need a Paypal account to pay the invoice.
**Please note that Paypal does NOT release any card information to sellers! All I will see is your shipping information.

REFUNDS: Refunds given reasonably and circumstantially- Read policies in full, and contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

LEGALITIES: When it comes to laws and legalities, wildlife trade is serious business! Please check and make sure all of your wildlife purchases are in accordance with your local laws! It is assumed that when you order an item you can legally possess that item according to the laws of your state or country. If you order items you cannot legally possess, the Desert Rose Taxidermy will hold you (the buyer) responsible for any penalties and/or legal fees incurred by the company as a result of your illegal purchase/import. <--- hasn't happened yet, and I hope it never does :)

Additional policies

REGARDING WOLF AND LYNX:
Etsy does not allow the sale of products or specimens derived from these species, HOWEVER it IS legal for my business to trade and export these species. These bans are NOT based on any federal laws or legal restrictions. You can check here for current inventory on these species:
http://www.desertrosetaxidermy.com

If you would like to place a custom order for one of these species, please message me on Etsy, or send an email to contact@DesertRoseTaxidermy.com.
Some states/countries may restrict the import, purchase, or ownership of bear, wolf and cougar, so please check with your local Fish and Game and know your wildlife laws before placing an order.

OWL, HAWK, RAVEN, AND OTHER MIGRATORY BIRDS AND BIRDS OF PREY:
I get a lot of custom requests for items from birds of prey and other migratory species. Nearly all migratory birds are federally protected, and it is illegal to possess any part (bone, nest, or feather) of these animals. I cannot help you with your quest for these specimens!
