This is a lovely yarn from the UK that's perfect for sock and shawl knitting! It's 50/50 Alpaca/Merino and weighs in at 2,000 ypp. Each 100g skein has approximately 438 yards (401 meters). It's constructed from one ply of naturally colored gray alpaca and one ply of natural white merino wool to create a beautifully balanced marled (candy striped) knitting yarn.
It knits up beautifully on sock machines on every cylinder from the 54 on up to the 96. You can also use it for hand-knitting on roughly American size needles 0 through 2 for socks or any size your lace pattern calls for.
It dyes beautifully and wears very well in socks, despite being soft and cushy. This yarn is natural white and gray marle--a clean palette for your dye projects. It is *not* Superwash, so care must be taken in washing, but this gorgeous yarn is worth hand washing.

Shipping & policies
I ship worldwide, no problem. I do not charge a handling or packaging fee of any kind and I want it noted that I don't even charge the full postage costs for what I ship. I'm happy to share part of that cost with people whenever I can. After all, it's not *your* fault that we might live thousands of miles apart from one another, right??
PayPal and Direct Checkout are my favorite methods of payment, but I'll accept checks and money orders, as well. The catch on non-PayPal payments is that, unless I know you well, I have to hold the order until my banker and I are both comfortable that your check has cleared your bank. That could be a while, depending on where you are and where you bank.
I charge sales taxes on all sales to residents of Michigan (USA).
If you decide you want to cancel your order (and I haven't shipped it yet), just let me know. I like to be as flexible as I can with peoples' changing situations.

I welcome special requests and I'm happy to quote bulk pricing on wholesale orders. A word of caution, though--like I don't charge the full cost of postage when I ship, I also don't mark up my products very much, so I can't afford to give very much of a discount on bulk orders, but I'll sure try to accommodate if you want to buy in bulk.
