"Brite Mawnin" is a framed original vintage coffee bag referred to as "new old stock" as it was never used. The graphics remain bright and clear and is in excellent condition. I am unsure of exactly how old this sack is and have found nothing on the Behring-Stahl Coffee Company, St. Louis MO.
In the late 1800's to the early 1900's, St. Louis had become the coffee roasting capitol of the U.S. with over 80 coffee roasters by the 1920's. The green coffee beans were imported through New Orleans and shipped up the Mississippi River where they were roasted and shipped all over the U.S.
For the framing, I have used re-purposed wood from a shipping pallet. The wood is re-sawn and cut to size specifically for the "Brite Mawnin" bag. The frame is sanded to reduce splintering while intentionally left with the original character of the wood including any nail or knot holes. It is stained using eco-friendly water based stains and sealed with a water based sealer. A final coating of fine English furniture wax is applied and hand-rubbed to give a soft satin sheen to the frame. The matting consists of conservation grade mats with a hand drawn line applied to the mat as an accent color. Final finishing includes regular picture glass and a plastic coated wire for hanging.
The last photo seems to best depict the color, texture and character of the frame.
The finished size is approximately 11 1/4” wide X 15 3/4” tall.

Shipping & policies
Until I gain better information regarding shipping outside the U.S., I will ship only within the U.S. I may be willing to make an exception depending on where the package is to be sent. However, if it does not "feel" right to me, I will not do so.
I will ship only to the address recognized by Etsy as purchaser's officially listed address. I will not drop ship items to another address. Please don't ask.
As I have been shipping packages for over thirty years, I know it is far better to over-pack an item than to skimp on packing materials.
I will not hide or pad profits by overcharging for shipping or packing materials. Please understand shipping an item with glass takes special consideration regarding packing materials. My stated shipping rate is an estimate of a combined cost of packing materials and actual shipping charges.
should shipping charges run under the estimate amount, you will be refunded any amount over $1.00.
My preferred method of shipping is USPS PRIORITY, which includes tracking and insurance for both parties protection and peace of mind. However, there may be occasions that an item exceeds USPS size or weight limitations. In such an event, you will be consulted as to your preferred method of shipping and given a shipping cost estimate.
Should damage occur while in transit, it is required by the USPS (as well as alternative shipping agents, i.e., UPS, FEDEX, etc.) ) that absolutely all packing materials be saved for postal inspection. You will need to contact the USPS claims system (or via the alternative carrier) with any claim regarding damage during transit.
Please do not order unless you are prepared to pay as the item is removed from the view of others browsing my shop. You may use your credit card during Etsy's direct checkout system.
Orders will not be processed for shipment until payment is received in full. If no payment is received within 48 hours, your order will be cancelled and the item(s) will be relisted.

1) Refunds will be at my discretion on a case by case basis.
2) I will accept no item for return without prior authorization.
3) Any item returned without authorization will not be acknowledged as having been retuned and will not be refunded.
