This plant is hardy and adaptable. I grew mine indoors in pots for a year (in almost full sun, it may get too leggy with too little light) before transplanting into a plot once I finally got one. I still have a small amount growing in planters and it is doing great!
The images above include pictures of seeds, seedlings, leaves and stems, dried roots and crushed root powder. This powder can then be used to dye any natural fiber (cotton, wool, silk, etc). Pictured is a block print dyed with madder.
Please feel free to contact me about use of the plant for dyeing.
The item shipped very quickly. I can give a 5-star rating for fast service.
I have not planted the seeds yet because it is still too cold where we live. I won't know about the percentage of germination until later in the spring. Therefore I can't give a star rating for the product itself.
