"Hot Socks" a collection of four warm and extra warm sock patterns by Anita Grahn
Available as instant download file in English or Swedish

In this collection there are four patterns for warm or extra warm socks. There are portions of double knitting, colourwork and structured knitting for warmth, and one of the socks is in alternative construction. Knit and enjoy!!

A presentation of the included sock patterns:

Chill Thrill - For extra warmth in winter, these socks are not only in two-colour colourwork at the front, but are also knitted double at heel flap, sole and toe. The back of the leg is worked in rib for a good fit.
The sock is worked from the top down in a traditional heel flap construction, and what is new is that extra stitches are added when starting the heel flap and toe to be worked as the inside layers of heel, sole and toe.

Hot Goth - These socks are knitted with one bright and one dark strand of yarn and so will magically transform from hot to goth as you turn them inside out as one colour will dominate on the outside and one will dominate in the inside of the sock. It is largely knitted in channels for a luxuriously fluffy feel and super warming ability. Some details are worked in garter stitch to make for a stunning contrast.
The sock is knitted from cuff down with heel flap and gusset and finished with a shaped toe which is grafted together.

Waffled footsies - The interesting surface pattern along the front of these socks shows off a handpainted yarn well. The waffles pattern is made up of elongated stitches bound together to make up a regular grid. It will also contain a lot of air and ensure good insulation.
The construction is conventional, and the sock is knitted top down with a reinforced heel flap and a shaped toe.

Warm and tender - Decorated with delicate rose buds this sock puts the colourwork up front! The front panel in three colours is knitted first. The rows of colourwork are to be placed in a longitudinal direction. After that, the cuff and back side all the way to the toes are worked, binding to the sides of the front panel. The heel is traditional, with a heel flap and gusset.

They are all knitted from sockyarn, and come in sizes Ladies' XS, S, M and L
