An adorable hooded cocoon made in a luxurious wave stitch makes this a must have pattern for baby! What a fun and one of a kind gift this would be. The hooded cocoon is almost for of a sleeping bag than a tight cocoon that can be difficult to squeeze the baby into. It buttons on both sides to allow for easy placement in and/or out. The edge of the cocoon, just below the chin, features a rolled edge look that is simple but clean looking. The hood features a ribbed edging to give it a cozy look around the babies face. This cocoon is made as one piece and the pattern includes sizes 0-3 month, 3-6 month, and 6-12 month.

I'm kind of unsure of the size, but I don't know how big babies are. I'm hoping it is big enough. The patterns is beautiful and fun to do but because of all the slip stitches I feel like it work up relatively slow. The pattern is also very forgiving. If I miscount a set of 7 by one and don't realize until the end of the row, it is easy to fudge it. Will definitely make more.

Additional policies

Sizing information for hat patterns from Sweet Potato 3 Patterns:

Sizes are approximation to an age, all children are unique in size so please measure for accuracy. I size my hats according to the CDC Head Circumference for Age Charts and track/size according the 50th percentile. Hats should fit barely snug (ideal fit will be about 1-2 inches smaller than the head measurement).

Newborn (12 ¼ ” around & 5” high - fits up to 14” circumference)
3 to 6 Months (14” around & 5 ½ “ high - fits up to 15" or 16" circumference)
6 to 12 Months (16" around & 6” high - fits up to 18" circumference)
12 to 24 Months (17" around & 6 ½ “ high - fits up to 19" circumference)
Child (18” around & 7 ½ “ high - fits up to 20" circumference)

Care for all crochet items:
I recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry. Machine washing and drying will cause the item to shrink
