This midcentury 1960's dress pattern is #5996 by Simplicity, and the copyright date is 1965. All pattern pieces are here, along with the instruction sheet, and this is a vintage "size 10" (bust 31 inches, waist 24 inches, hips 33 inches), which is probably a size 6 in today's sizes. This one-piece dress comes with a "Personal Fit Tissue Chart" and has an A-Line skirt with back zipper and tie belt. It can be made with short sleeves or sleeveless with a contrasting neck band and bodice.
All pattern pieces are here and some have been cut. The pattern pieces, instruction sheet, and envelope are slightly to moderately yellowed from age. The envelope is intact with the back flap still attached, and a few tiny tears and pinpoint holes near the top. It was printed in the USA by Simplicity of Madison Avenue, New York.
This classic, slimming style will be a great addition to your vintage pattern collection!
