Your knitting project and these letterpress-crafted tags combine for a fantastic presentation when you want someone to know you made it just for them.
These tags will come personalized for you with your name set in the beautiful antique Gavotte type face beneath an image of a ball of yarn and needles and the text “Hand knit for.” There is a line for you to inscribe the name of the gift recipient. Each tag has a hole drilled at the end for you to attach a section of the yarn used in your project.
There are eight tags of one color ink in each set. You choose the color: purple (shown in the photos), blue, red, green, brown, gray, or black. At only $10 for each set of five tags, you can order enough to complement all of the yarns you use in your knitting projects:
-- Eight 2.25”x3.25” die-cut tags -- 65 lb. card weight ivory paper -- Letterpress printed in any one color (purple, blue, red, green, brown, gray, or black) -- Letterpress printed with the name of your choice
The entire process used to print these beautiful note cards is identical to that used by 19th Century printers. Each tag is printed individually on an antique 1863 Geo. P. Gordon platen jobber press with antique lead types from a two-generation family printing business that began in 1937.
$10.00 for set of eight.
These are 100% letterpress, but because they are not printed with “deep” impression, the back side is unharmed and ready for your personal note. Alternatively, if you have an idea for some text to be printed on the back, like washing and care instructions, a little bit about you, your favorite quote, or (nearly) whatever you can think of, I will work with you at a reasonable additional cost to make the reverse side of the tag extra special. If you have a different idea for the front of the tag, we also can work together to customize the tags at an agreed upon fee.
