Item details

If you knit, you will love this yarn bowl. It is made of buff stoneware clay and is wheel thrown and trimmed by hand in my own studio. I cut the "K" out by hand and then carve the "nit" and the ball of yarn. Then I smooth all the edges, to ensure the yarn does not drag on the surface. The glaze is a blue green. It is fired to cone 6 (2290 Deg F) in an oxidation environment, for durability.

It measures 5.75 inches across at the top and 2.25 inches high and holds an average skein of yarn. The picture shows the bowl with a full 3.52 ounce (100 gram) skein of 4 ply yarn. It is very stable when pulling the yarn.

Due to the delicate cut out the shipping cost is a little higher to ensure safe delivery.
