Shipping & policies
I use USPS unless otherwise requested. If you have a different address in Paypal than the address you have in Etsy, I will use the Paypal address unless otherwise notified. I usually attempt to contact you to see which address is correct, but in the case of international orders, I don't use Paypal shipping, I use Stamps.com, which means I may not ever see the address you have in Paypal. PLEASE be sure to let me know the correct address if you have more than one listed.
**TURNAROUND TIME** - In stock items are generally shipped the next business day following payment. This includes POLYMER stamps, inks, supplies, journals and other handmade items. In the case of HAND CARVED stamps and any type of custom order turnaround time will vary depending upon my workload. If there is a time issue, please be sure to discuss it with me so that I can work with you! **TURNAROUND TIME ON CUSTOM ORDERS**- Custom orders TAKE TIME. They are completed in the order received. We usually have a lot of custom orders so please plan accordingly when ordering something that is time sensitive. It can take up to 3 weeks, sometimes even longer depending on the work being done for you, to make and ship a custom order. Please discuss any time limitations before agreeing to purchase your order, as sales are final.
I accept Paypal, money orders and cashier's checks. Payment is due upon purchase - with custom orders that means once the design is agreed upon by myself and the buyer.
**PAYMENT FOR CUSTOM ORDERS** In most cases, I require payment up front for custom orders, once we've agreed on the details or you've approved the artwork. If we've agreed upon a deposit, payment in full is required once the order is complete, before the item will be shipped. If you choose not to pay in full for whatever reason once the order is completed, the item/items are my property and could possibly be re-sold (with the exception of copyrighted logos/business names, etc.).
Returns & exchanges
All sales are final. If your item arrives damaged I'll re-make/replace and ship it at no charge to you. **ALL CUSTOM ORDER SALES ARE FINAL - if the item is damaged in some way in transit, or is defective due to my own error, I will REPLACE the item. It usually takes many hours to design a custom piece and many back-and-forth conversation with the buyer before I ever make the item. After spending that much time and effort, as well as making the item, I can not offer a refund. Please understand this policy before going forward with a custom order purchase. Thank you so much.** I am not responsible for items that are lost by the postal service or have gone to the wrong address due to the customer providing incorrect (or non-current) shipping information. Please be sure that the shipping address in Paypal is the address you want the item to be shipped to - or be sure to notify me at the time of purchase if the ship-to address is different.
Q: Do you do custom work?
A: Absolutely! No request is too weird (at least they haven't been so far..and my weirdness threshold is high). Don't be afraid to ask.
Q: Can I use your stamps to make things to sell?
A: Yes - to a degree. If you're selling something stamped with my stamps, no problem. If you're taking the image and digitally reproducing it and selling it as clip art or graphics, or having it reproduced commercially as a rubber stamp - that's a problem. If you're unsure about how this policy applies to your project, just ask me. :)
Q: How do I clean and care for this awesome little stamp?
A: For clear polymer stamps: gently peel your stamp off of its mount and clean with warm, soapy water. Dish soap works really well. Allow it to air dry. Store polymer stamps out of sunlight - sunlight will break down the polymer and cause it to tear. For hand carved stamps: they are pretty rugged. Washing with warm, soapy water and allowing to air dry should do the trick.
If you're using paint or permanent ink, follow the cleanup instructions provided by the product manufacturer. As with any rubber or polymer stamp, solvents and harsh chemicals may damage the material
Q: Will my polymer stamp turn yellow after a while?
A: The polymer I use is top quality and according the manufacturer, will not yellow. It IS still possible for a stamp to discolor if left exposed to sunlight for long periods of time. It's best to store them out of sunlit areas. Also, certain types of ink can leave behind a tint, which may or may not wash completely off. This shouldn't affect the performance of your stamp.
Q: My polymer stamp's not clinging to the mount anymore, what happened?
A: If your stamp loses its clinginess, a quick wash with warm, soapy water should restore it to its original condition. Use care when removing polymer stamps from their backing or from an acrylic block - I use a very durable, high grade polymer, but these stamps CAN tear or stretch. Just peel gently and nobody gets hurt. :)
