Yarn: Fingering to sport weight Needles: Size 10.75 [7mm] Yardage: 100 yards
A beautiful lace flower design graces the Frost Starflower Cowl pattern. This lovely lacy cowl can be knitted in the round or flat and seamed, with picot edging. Made with angora yarn, it is light and incredibly soft, but still warm. This pattern is a super fast knit because it is made with a US 10.75/7mm needle. So it's great for last minute gifts.
I would call this pattern an intermediate knit because of the lace complexity and the techniques used in the pattern but an adventuresome beginner could manage it. Pay attention to the start of the row when working in the round. Several times in the pattern, the starting row marker is moved to make the stitches line up properly. Please ask me if you have any questions. I will be happy to help.
The pdf version of the pattern includes color photos of the finished project, easy to follow directions, a chart for those who prefer it to written directions, a list of abbreviations and a stitch glossary explaining the techniques used in the project. I will also be happy to answer any questions you might have while working the project.
