This design came about as I had a friend who wanted to learn some basic embroidery stitches.
There are 7 basic embroidery stitches: blanket stitch, back stitch, French knots, long & short stitch, button hole stitch, straight stitch, double running (Holbein) stitch.
Now you can make your own little Penguin Hussif.
Holds scissors in the front, opens up and has a place for needles inside and includes a pocket on the inside, which I popped a thread cutter into, although you could store cottons, measuring tape or other things in there.
Pattern includes full colour pictures, step by step instructions and the template for the shapes required. There are also a few options, to personalise your own penguin.
I have taught this little Penguin to several adults some of whom were complete beginners at Embroidery, others had some experience, and they all really enjoyed making something little with purpose.
Felt, needles, scissors etc not included.
I grew up & now live in Oamaru which is a small town in the South Island of New Zealand. Our town is well known for a few quirky things including the Little Blue Penguins who roam the Victorian Streets at night.
