Item details

This is a skein of brand new handspun Merino wool. It is light, airy, and soft.

It is 2-ply, DK/Worsted weight, spun worsted/woolen from rolags. It weighs 2.8 oz (80 grams) and measures 142 yards. It is very soft and knits up nicely. It is light and sturdy.

The color of the yarn consists of 3 shades of grey, 2 shades of fawn, black, and white. The color of the yarn is homogenous without a gradient. The knitted fabric looks gray with nice specks of fawn, white, and black.

This is a small amount of yarn that can be incorporated into any knitting/weaving project (the same amount was used to make the mittens in one of the pictures).

Merino wool feels soft next to the skin and can be used for many garments worn next to the skin: mittens, scarf, shawl, cowl, and others. This multi-shaded gray will match various solid colors: black, white, fawn, or grey.

FAQs

I like custom orders! If you have a great idea of a knitted garment, I would love to make it for you! Feel free to send me your inquiry along with a sketch or a picture and we'll discuss it!

I only use natural yarns and fibers. The best way to care for my yarns and garments is to hand-wash them and dry flat.

The yarn is wonderful. I am using it as part of an afghan. There is some irregularities in the yarn which will give it a life and character all it's own.
