Polymer Clay Steampunk Pendant, Green and Gold Pendant, Floating Watch Piece, Rhinestone Accents, Steampunk Watch Pendant
Polymer clay steampunk pendant, made from green and gold clay, with a floating watch piece and rhinestones. I created this pendant from Kato Polyclay in colors of gold, copper and green, then embellished it with a vintage watch part and several colored Swarovski crystals. The back has some mysterious writing on it, maybe from an old diary? It has been sealed with acrylic finish to last for many years. 1 1/4". The colors differ with the available light, so I have given several choices of photo, so you can see how it changes!
Steampunk describes a fictional era that takes takes place during the British Victorian-Edwardian period - the late 1800's and early 1900's. It originated in fiction and progressed to include fashion, design and decor. Early works include novels by Jules Verne Jules Verne ("Around the World in 80 Days", "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", etc.) and H.G. Wells ("The Time Machine", "War of the Worlds", etc.). Today we would consider Dr. Who in that category. Steampunk jewelry often includes watch parts and gears, representing the prevalent steam power used in the Victorian era.

Shipping & policies
Items will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail within 1 - 3 business days of purchase. If you would prefer a shipping upgrade to Priority Mail, please select that when you check out. Delivery Confirmation will be included with the shipping cost. Please allow sufficient time for shipping, which should hopefully be 3 - 7 days in the U.S. Sometimes items do get delayed in the shipping process, which is why we have delivery tracking. If the tracking information shows the item is "delivered," and you have not received it, please wait a few days to see if it shows up. If it does not, you should let me know, then file a "stolen item" claim with the USPS. If the shipping cost for your total order would be less for Priority Mail, I will ship with that method and refund any differences.
Note: Currently shipments made with USPS are being delayed for many reasons, and I CANNOT guarantee any firm delivery date. Most packages arrive in good time, but some do go astray for a few days. Please be patient.
I accept both Paypal and credit card payments through Paypal and Etsy Direct Checkout. Payment is made at the close of the sale. No items will be shipped until full payment is received, which may be an issue if Paypal or the Credit Card used has an issue and is held for a few days. I will let you know if that is the case.
If the order is for custom work, once you have approved the purchase there will be no refunds, unless there is a defect. I will not proceed with a custom order until we are both happy with the order. Custom orders must be paid for in full before I produce the piece.
Returns & exchanges
If your item meets the following conditions, and you need to return it, please contact me BEFORE you return the item. I do not accept unauthorized refunds, and Etsy seller protection backs me up in this.
JEWELRY ITEMS are fully guaranteed for 30 days for defects in workmanship and materials, excluding normal wear-and-tear or physical abuse such as dog's teeth, truck tires or hammers. I stand behind my craftsmanship, and I will always be open to discussion about any problems you may have. Items may be returned for a full refund of purchase price, excluding shipping cost within 30 days of receipt. A refund is given when the item is received back by me. Please pack and return the same way I sent the item to you, including packing, tracking and insurance, to protect you in your return - if the item is lost or damaged on it's way to me, I cannot refund. I will guarantee workmanship for the full 30 days, so if your product fails within that time frame, you will receive a full refund. I would ask for a photo of the damage. Problems after 30 days will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If you do not receive an item, please let me know as soon as possible after the normal, expected shipping time. Since all of my jewelry items are OOAK (one of a kind) I cannot exactly replace a missing item, but you may request a refund and purchase another item if you prefer. If you return a broken jewelry item made by me, I can probably restring or repair it and return it to you at no additional charge, as long as you return all the pieces.
VINTAGE ITEMS can be returned in the original condition when shipped to you for 30 days after receipt. Please package and mail the item back to me in the same way I sent it to you, including packing, tracking and insurance. When I receive the item back, you will receive a refund, minus shipping costs. If the item never makes it back to me, or arrives damaged by shipping, I will let you know, so you can file for an insurance refund for Non-Delivery or Item Damaged in Shipping.
If you need to cancel a sale, or receive a refund, please email me ASAP with the details of the situation, and we will work it out. If I have already mailed the item, and you need to cancel the sale, you may refuse the package and it will be returned to me by the USPS. As soon as the item is received back I will issue your refund, minus shipping cost.
If an item is returned for defects in the product, the original full shipping fee will be refunded once the item is received back. If I have determined that this is the case, I can send you a pre-paid return label to return the item. If the item is being returned for preference only, the original shipping fee will not be refunded, nor the return fee.
If any item is damaged in shipping, please send me a photo of the item and the packaging, so I can process a claim with the Post Office. As soon as I can verify the damage, I will send you a full refund including shipping charges. If it is something I can repair, I will pay for shipping to fix it and return it to you, if that is what you would prefer. Otherwise you do not need to return the item.
Custom work can be negotiated with me before purchase. We will agree on the work you want, then draw up a contract which will protect both the seller's and the buyer's best interests. Payment in full is expected when you approve the work. If you have beads or findings that you would like incorporated into a piece of jewelry, I would be happy to do that. I love to use vintage parts in my jewelry, and I can use almost any item that you have to include in your finished product.
