The original Duffers felted slipper pattern.
This listing is for a KNITTING PATTERN to make a pair of felted slippers, it is NOT a finished item.
This was the first slipper pattern that I made available for sale. It is a simple to knit, felted slipper pattern with only 19 rows of knitting per slipper. The slippers are knitted flat and then sewn together across the bottom and back of heel before felting.
Full instructions for felting are given in the pattern.
The pattern gives instructions for three adult sizes.
To fit sizes: Approx. UK sizes 3, 5, & 7 (EUR 35.5, 38, 40) (US sizes approx 5 ½, 7 ½ ,9 ½, )
Finished foot lengths approx. 10 1/2″, 11″ & 12″ ( 27 cm, 29 cm, 31 cm)
Yarn: Any pure untreated wool that will felt in a bulky weight or you can use a DK or worsted yarn held double throughout.
Approx. quantities are 150 m for the single colour slippers or 100 m of each colour for the two colour ones.
If you are using DK or worsted yarn held double you will need double the quantities.
Needles: 8 mm or size to get you to a tension of 3 sts / 1″
