This listing is for the download of a PDF sewing pattern for one set of tall shipping boots for your horse. It is NOT for a physical paper pattern. The boots are lined with synthetic sheepskin fleece and are fastened with hook-and-loop tape. They come up over the horse’s knees and hocks.
The purple boots in the above photos were sewn using this pattern and are not for sale.
The PDF file includes instructions illustrated with diagrams and two pattern pieces. Download the file using Adobe Reader and print out the pages using 8 1/2" by 11" or A4 paper.
These boots will fit a 15-16 hh horse. The fit can vary depending upon the horse’s leg length and bone. You can lengthen or shorten the boots and add or subtract width at the front edges.
We recommend 1000 denier coated Cordura™ for the outer fabric and Fiber Pile synthetic fleece for the inner lining. Both of these plus the other items needed can be purchased from The Rain Shed, www.therainshed.com.
