PDF SEWING PATTERN!
Looking for a fun project that can be completed in an evening? This purse insert can double as a toiletries bag or travel bag that stows away all your essentials! It's sturdy and stands on its own. The finished size is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 11".
This project has been described as "Excellent pattern, very easy to follow and very well done. Thank you so much!! :)" and "Genius genius genius. Thankyou."
It has two zippered pockets, two outside pockets, and two mesh pockets that are sewn together to make a large center pocket. Feel free to add more pockets...it's easy to do! And don't be scared away by the zippered - I made it simple to attach with a walking-foot!
Directions include (1) cutting/layout guide for use with a rotary cutter and ruler (there are no pattern pieces), (2) seven pages of instructions that include photographs and tips to make this project something an intermediate sewer can tackle, (3) optional cutting directions for making your own double-fold binding (you can use store-bought), and (4) two supplemental tutorials that you can use if you don't know how to make or attach double-fold binding tape.
To make this, you'll need: cotton quilting weight fabric, fusible fleece, mesh (like a pop up hamper), binding/bias tape - extra wide double fold, 2 - 12" to 14" zippers, size 16 snaps (optional).
I recommend that this be assembled with a walking foot. There are several layers and it feeds more evenly!

On occasion, my cat(s) hang out with me. Although I keep things clean/neat, a stray cat hair might show up on your pillow cover and/or bag tag. But other than that, there are no funky smells or weird things to worry about.
