This square design was inspired by the arabesques and tile patterns of the Alhambra, or “Red Fortress” in the Andalusian region of Spain. It can be made into a pillow, or framed for the wall. It is lovely in the colors chosen, but you can easily choose your own fabric and thread color to create something uniquely yours. (Try coloring in different areas of the chart with colored pencils and making a multi-colored version, or stitching it in one or more overdyed thread color! The creative possibilities are endless.)
This is a six-page PDF *CHART*, not a finished embroidery/pillow. Make your own! Stitch count is 165X165. All full stitches, so it is suitable for cross stitch or needlepoint. You will need a PDF reader, such as Adobe Reader to open, view and print this pattern.
What a beautiful pattern and Romilly is the nicest person. First she responded really quickly to my questions, then agreed to email a pdf instead of using mail, and then after the purchase she helped with some with some technical issues (my own, had nothing to do with her order). The pattern is clear and easy to follow. And Romilly is definitely my favorite person to order from on Etsy. Thank you!!

Additional return information
I'm sure you'll like my work - and I want you to love it!

Please Note - The house and studio are non-smoking, but pet-loving. We live with cats, and dogs visit regularly. If you have allergies, please take this into account when you place your order. Dander and fur floats and gets everywhere, no matter how much care is taken.
Care and Feeding of Jewelry and textile pieces - I'll send a care and feeding card with each piece, but please be aware that especially with beads and sequins, water and dry cleaning fluids can strip color from them and weaken threads and wires used to connect pieces.
So generally speaking, don't dry-clean textiles with beads or sequins, and don't soak your jewelry (don't take showers with it on, and if you get caught in a REALLY bad rainstorm, it might be prudent to stash it deep within your pocket or purse to keep it from getting soaked).
