This is a colorful pondside scene of a crane browsing among the lilypads for its next meal. A bright lotus flower balances the colorscape of it all.
The pincushion is about 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide at its extreme points. The vintage ceramic piece is made in Japan, and is pleasantly painted all around, unlike most planters from there. It is in decent shape, but has two chipped petals and crackle and lines in the glaze. The colors of this keep you from seeing any of the faults, until you get very close to look. The pincushion is handknit, with a lilypad and a crocheted flower. The pincushion comes with the 4 pins that are shown.
