This is a very antique piece of linen that has had two initials embroidered by hand onto it in a very flowery script as was the inclination over 100 years ago.
It is beautifully executed however It does show some faint signs of wear so if you want absolutely fresh out of a store look this is not for you. This is old and though beautiful it does show wear. How does it show wear? The red is faded and is not a dark pink/red, the inside has faint yellowing on the fold line and the linen is not as white as it once was (I believe). It doesn't have any holes or tears or loose embroidery. The two sides in the upper plain area (no embroidery) have an add-on that is unfinished and I have no idea what it's intention was. It does not interfere with the embroidery.
The design uses the initials B C in a flowery script and underneath it are two embroidered flowers using the satin stitch. The edges are finished with a red scalloping design to set it off.
I think this is perfect for a pillow front or just a wall hanging to go with your French reds. I have not washed this but if you let it soak in Tide I guarantee the colors will brighten. This is just how I bought it in France.
I prefer shipping within the USA - simpler and less hassle. But, if you live abroad and want an item email me and I will do it if possible. In the past I have shipped abroad but it is alot more effort in the shipping so I try to avoid it. I do not charge for shipping time or supplies as I most often use recycled materials.
