Item details

Outcault is credited with the yellow kid comic and Buster Brown along with others He called these his drug store boy, although he looks a lot like a girl. These are original scans of flyers that were sent along with copper printing plates to drug stores. They are examples of what the druggist might write on them. There were twelve copper plates and other special ones for valentines, Christmas, etc. The store would have printed their own flyers, using the plate picture and adding their own advertising words.

These are from my personal collection of tradecards, photographs, postcards and miscellaneous paper ephemera.

This is an INSTANT DOWNLOAD in JPG format scanned at 300 dpi. Check out my other items.
