My patterns are written with the intention of appealing to all skill levels. They contain written instructions, with stitch explanations in the abbreviations section. Also diagrams and photographs are included to help as much as possible with construction of the item featured in each pattern.
This cosy baby blanket is made with Tunisian Crochet or Afghan stitch, uses a baby double knitting or light worsted weight yarn. It can be worked with a regular straight crochet hook as there are only a few stitches on the hook at one time. It is worked one square at a time in entrelac style, with no need to break off the yarn. Therefore, not many loose ends to sew in! The stitches used are Tunisian simple stitch, simple stitch purled, Tunisian knit stitch, double crochet (US single crochet) and chain.
It is easy to adapt the pattern to make the blanket in any size, larger or smaller.
For a larger blanket try making it with different thicknesses of yarn, chunky or aran weight, and with a larger hook, the sky's the limit!
