This Yarn Holder Lazy Susan was made by myself using Brazilian Cherry wood. Also called Jatoba, Brazilian Cherry originates from southern Mexico, Central America, South America and the West Indies.
It features a recessed bearing set which allows yarn to unspool without getting caught when knitting or crocheting. The dowel is also made of Brazilian Cherry.
Some yarn holders are made using a nylon washer or CD between the top and bottom pieces of wood. I feel a bearing set is superior in every way for providing a smooth rotation without any friction. Long story short, you will not have any issues when yarn is unwinding.
My mother in law asked me to make her one about a year ago, she felt it was much easier to knit or crochet when using it and Loves It!
Measures 7 1/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches across. Sanded to a smooth finish with several coats of sealer applied.
