Item details

This was a fun bead to create! It has a spiral shape that hints at looking like a shell or maybe a unicorn horn... maybe my imagination is running a little to wild, because everyone knows it would have to be much larger to be a unicorn horn. :) The base glass is a soft pink/light rose. I then used a silvered glass to follow the spiral form and it added the most awesome rainbow colors as well! As you can see in the pics, the hole for this bead does not go all the way through making it a great option for a focal bead on a necklace of maybe on a ring. Wouldn't that be cool?!? :)
I made this bead in my glass studio. After working the bead in the flame, it went straight into a heated kiln for a nice, long annealing. This bead measures approx. 1 1/4 inch tall and approx. 1/2 wide at the base. The bead was made on a 1/16 inch mandrel that had a thin layer of bead release on it, so the hole will be slightly larger than 1/16 inch.
Please convo me with any questions and all the best!
Thank you for looking!
