This fabric really excites me! Too bad I don't exactly know how to categorize it. It reminds me of something that would be found in women's dresses or skirts from the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's. I didn't come on the scene until 1951 so I'm just imaging that this is the case. It has a nice easy draping to it and also a very appealing texture. Color is a mottled grey black but with a hint of very subtle green. I did not wash it and I do pick up a "thrift shop" odor, nothing nasty at least not to my nose but definitely there. I hope there is a seamstress out there who will appreciate this and see some great potential in it.
Large piece measures about 68" by 58". Cut edges have some fraying black threads while elsewhere it is finished with a black edging.
