Plenty of time before Easter to CROCHET lots of little chickens, hens, roosters or ducks for your Easter baskets. This pattern is similar to a knitted one that has been around for a long time but this one is for CROCHETERS.
In addition to the chicken pattern, a duck pattern is also included. Fun to make! Good way to use up some of bits of yarn as it takes only about half and ounce to knit up one of these cozies.
I used to make these when my kids were small and put them in their baskets with either a hard-boiled, plastic egg, or silly putty egg inside. Then, when Easter was over, I put them away and brought them out again the next year so that they became part of our fun and familiar celebrations from year to year.
