Pictured here is an antique wood molding plane. It is from the late 1800's and it measures 9 1/2 inches long & the blade is a 3/4 inch wide shaped blade. It is made entirely out of solid wood which looks to be maple, but not sure. It has its original antique wood patina thru-out & it is marked on one end with etched in raised lettering , "GREENFIELD TOOL CO" and also has something else written underneath that but can't quite make it out. Also on the other end it is marked "No. 105" and "3/4". It has its original blade which is also marked, "HUMPHREVSVILLE - MFG, Warranted Cast Steel" (please see all pictures).
This antique wood plane is in good condition for its over 100 years of age with the only issue that I see are some small round holes at one end on the very bottom, which in no way takes away from its antique charm. This antique wood treasure could definitely be used in today's woodworking shop or even for an antique tool display. A really unique piece that would be an awesome addition for the antique woodworking collector or to add to your vintage tool collection.
