This is a very cool looking Weston Model 777 tube tester we believe was made sometime in the 1930's. It is a suitcase style tester with a solid wooden case, leather carrying handle, art deco bakelite knobs and fused bakelite electrical plug. The tester is in great shape and looks to have been well cared for throughout the years. This even has the original tube charts attached plus a copy of the manual with another set of tube charts.
We didn't have any tubes available for testing, but we plugged it in and did a line test. Picture number 2 shows it switched to the line test and picture number 3 shows the needle moved to the middle position on the scale. Picture number 1 shows the unit switched off. Because we could not test with a tube, this is being sold "as is" and there is no warranty expressed or implied.
This is such a great looking unit that it would make a nice display piece.
We use USPS & UPS and we ship items at the cheapest rate. If you need an item sooner we will send it the quickest way and at the cheapest cost possible. If you want insurance, please let us know after your purchase and we will add the amount to the shipping cost. If you do not get insurance, we are not responsible for whatever damage happens. All items sold will be wrapped well. If you have any questions, please ask before making a purchase. This covers you as well as us.
We accept most major credit cards and Etsy gift cards through Etsy and we also accept payments made through Paypal. We do not accept checks or money orders of any kind. You may pay cash for an item that you are picking up at the time of pickup.
We usually ship within 3 days of receiving an order, therefore cancellations of orders are permissible up to 2 days after placing an order. If an item ships before cancellation, it is the buyer's responsibility to pay for the shipping both ways.
Returns & exchanges
All of the items we sell are vintage and many items may need some type of work, parts, or a combination of the two to get the item working again. Therefore, you are buying the item "as is" and there will be no returns accepted unless we have grossly misrepresented an item, or if it arrives damaged due to our "gross negligence." Gross negligence meaning we did not take any care in wrapping and boxing an item. We try to describe details on every item in our store so that there are no surprises when you receive them. If we do agree to a returned item, the original shipping cost and the shipping cost to send the item back to us is the buyer's responsibility. It is also your responsibility to check out the item purchased and notify us if there is something wrong with it as soon as possible within 7 days. After 7 days there will be no refund issued. Please do not wait longer then 7 days.
If an item is damaged during shipping and insurance has been purchased, we will give you a choice as to filing a claim with a carrier. You can file a claim yourself or we can file a claim and wait for reimbursement before refunding monies to you. If you file a claim yourself, we will mail you the receipt and you should hold onto the package because the post office may want to inspect the item and the box.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase an item.
All of the items for sale are vintage items that have been used unless otherwise stated in the listing. There are no warranties expressed or implied and everything is sold "as is."
