Iron Frog Press has their "Pro" model baren that is made of borsilcate glass. Borsilcate glass is an all around superior material it is the same glass that is used for scientific equipment and cookware. It is made to more precise specs. The Print Frog® was original designed to efficiently print warped and damaged blocks that couldn't be run thru a press. It performs outstandingly on all types of relief blocks on varies thickness of paper. It is the ideal tool for relief printing on fabric. It works great for monoprinting and chine-collé. We've seen printmakers successfully print intaglio plates and bleed edge lithography. One advantage of the "Pro" model is that it can be used for encaustic monoprinting.



This glass baren tool was designed and created for printmaking by master printmaker, Matt Bagley of Iron Frog Press. The "Pro" PRINT FROG® is hand made by our glass shop in Dallas, TX.
